When it comes to drug and alcohol rehabilitation, what is the best program and what is the first step I should take in getting help? This is a common question people ask regarding treatment for addiction and one of the things we can help a person out with. The most effective type of rehab program available is a non 12 step drug rehab. Non 12 step treatment teaches a person how to live life with out drugs instead of teaching them that they have some sort of disease.
Once a person has been taught how to live life with their drug of choice, then giving them the tools to remain sober is very important. One of the tough things for a person to do is come out of rehab and then live a drug-free life but also get back on their feet by finding a job and living situation. In a situation like this, an aftercare program can become very helpful.
Aftercare for a person who has completed a drug rehab is really important. Most of the facilities may offer a little bit of counseling but really finding out what the person is good at and then placing him in an area that is positive and locating a job that will aid in the addicted individuals recovery. Sometimes returning home after a person has completed a drug rehabilitation program is not always a good idea. We would recommend a non 12 step rehab with a great aftercare treatment program after rehab is done.

When searching for a drug rehab, should I consider going to a program that offers a non-12 step approach? This is a common question people have regarding treatment for alcohol and drug addiction. At Non-12Rehab.org we believe that our approach to addiction gives the individual the best chance of a successful recovery. Whether you are looking for a medical detox or an actual drug rehabilitation program, our counselors can help you.
When researching treatment options, the first thing you want to do is make sure that they program is licensed and certified. Some non-12 step rehabs are a not always licensed so make sure that they are. This does not always mean that if a program is licensed by the state that it is a good program. Most facilities that are hospital based are some of the worst programs in the country.
Another thing to look for is a program that is in good environment. A non-12 step rehab that provides a nice, clean environment, quality counseling and good therapy is a good choice. Also make sure that the success rate they provide is high as well.

Are you looking for an alternative treatment program? Have you tried traditional treatment and failed? If so, you may want to consider a holistic rehab program. Most of the holistic drug rehabs offer a non 12 step approach. A non 12 step rehab does not believe that addiction is a disease. Many of these drug rehab centers, that use a non 12-step approach, provide counseling, life skills therapy, and detox.
Most of the holistic drug rehabs offer extended programs that we highly recommend. The longer the treatment program the more effective it is. A non 12 step drug rehab is one of the most effective programs in the country.
If you are trying to decide which alternative treatment program is the most effective, always look at the success rate. An effective alternative drug rehab, should have 70 percent success rate of higher. Another very popular new type of drug rehab is a Wilderness drug rehab. The only program with the wilderness treatment programs is they don’t offer any type of detox program.
If a wilderness drug rehab is something that interests you, but you need detox, there are very effective detox centers that offer a medical program in conjunction with a holistic treatment as well.

When is a person is desperate for help, and needs to find an effective rehab program immediately, where should they turn? What type of alcohol and drug rehab should they choose? We will discuss the different types of treatment programs available for people. There are basically two different types of rehab, traditional treatment that offers the 12 steps, and an alternative treatment program called a non 12 step rehab.
Traditional treatment programs that use the 12 steps have a much lower success rate. The highest 12 step rehab is about a 5 percent success rate, in which many don’t even have a success rate because all they do is replace one drug for the other. One you replace one drug for the other the person is still addicted to drugs and then ends up becoming addicted to more. This is one of the worst things a person can do in a drug rehab center.
The non 12 step drug rehab centers offer a more common sense approach to addiction. They help a person realize why they first started abusing drugs and alcohol in the first place. Most of the non 12 step rehabs also offer a biophysical drug rehab program well. The biophysical treatment naturally detoxifies the body to remove drug residues from the tissues to eliminate cravings for the drugs. With the biophysical treatment and cognitive counseling, the non 12 step rehabs offer one of the most effective treatment programs in the nation.

Many people who are addicted to alcohol not only need a detox but also a quality rehab as well. Unfortunately most treatment programs provide an ineffective rehab that uses the traditional 12 steps. Over the last decade, more and more people are searching for an alcohol rehab that is alternative to the 12 steps. What they are looking for is a non 12 step alcohol rehab. This type of rehab does not believe that addiction is a “disease”, rather they believe that addiction is a choice and that a person must build his or her self-esteem to then make good choices which would be to not drink.
When people began to look at reasons why they are alcoholics its very easy to jump on the bandwagon and take no responsibility at all and blame it on some disease you have. Guess what, people that do that, never recover. The people that look at alcohol addiction as something that they have chosen to do because for them, it is a way to deal with problems or handle certain situations get better and make it.
The other important aspect of a non 12 step alcohol treatment center is making sure they provide a quality medical detox. Most people who suffer from alcoholism need some sort of tapering process, which helps them to detox first before counseling and life skills, can take place.
Remember, find a non 12 step alcohol rehab with a quality medical detox and you will have a better chance of a successful recovery.

A California non 12 step drug rehab is probably the best type of treatment program available in the country. Most of these types of holistic drug rehabs, drug-free, alternative, and cognitive based. Replacement drugs only set a person addicted to drugs up for failure. You must get to the underlying issues of why a person started to abuse alcohol or drugs in the first place. Non-12 step rehabs do this. Traditional programs believe addiction is an incurable disease and only provide group counseling.
Individualized counseling and with an addiction specialist is very effective in figuring out why a person used drugs. Also finding the right type of detox program is also important. A medical detox gently tapers a person off of drugs or alcohol so that they don’t have any seizures. Remember that sometimes you cant just cold turkey off of certain prescription medications, and you need the help of a medical professional to detox you off of them.
Lets get back to why the state of California has the best drug rehab centers in the country. The main reason is they have more alternative treatment programs that do not use the 12 steps. Holistic and non-12 step drug rehabs are the best program and offer the highest success rate as well.

Many people who have been to a drug rehab or detox before and relapsed are now looking for a holistic and non 12-step program. The reason is that in a traditional drug treatment center, the 12 steps are used. The 12-step treatment program teaches a person that their addiction is an incurable disease and that relapse is part of recovery. They also preach that the patient is powerless and has no control. This lowers a persons self esteem and confidence. The problem is when people first enter rehab, they have already “beat” themselves up enough. This also victimizes a person and does not allow for them to take responsibility and gives them an excuse to continue to relapse.
Rehab is not the only holistic form treatment available. Detox is also very important for a person looking for a comprehensive treatment center. An effective oxycontin detox should provide a medical tapering process, which gently takes a person off of the opiate. In conjunction, a nutritional program, which uses vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and a well balanced diet, will speed up the recovery process. Drugs and alcohol burn up essential vitamins and minerals in the body and replacing these is key.
Once the person has been properly detoxed, now rehabilitation can take place. Cognitive counseling and life skills therapy are the most effective forms of treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. This alternative form of rehab can be found in most non-12 step drug rehabs.

My sister and I are twins, and the only way we have ever been similar is in our physical appearance. We took complete, literal opposite paths in life. While I attended college, she went another direction: drugs and partying. I graduated and got a great job, and she continued to use drugs and party. Except now she was making money as a stripper and doing God knows what else to support her meth habit. I got married and had kids, and her downward spiral of a lifestyle continued. Eventually my husband and I decided we couldn’t stand by and watch this happen anymore. Of course I had pleaded with her before to change her life, but this time we knew was serious. If she didn’t change, she would end up dead.
We invited her over for dinner to meet her nieces and nephews (who by this time were 6 and 9, and she had never met them.) I had all the key members of our family there, and we did an intervention–each of us pleading with her and giving her the ultimatum that if she did not change she would no longer get a chance to be a part of the family. At the end of an emotionally taxing day, our efforts paid off. For the first night in 15 years I slept soundly, knowing she was safe in the guest room next door.
I got online and found an addiction treatment center and they recommended long term and inpatient rehab for her. Her situation was not one that a 30 day drug rehab center would put a dent in, and I wanted to do this right. I concurred, so we found her a really great, holistic rehab–both long term and inpatient–that specilaized in meth addiction.

Most people searching for an alternative drug treatment program have experienced traditional treatment before. 12 step rehabilitation centers are becoming a thing of the past in which people are now looking for more effective forms of treatment. Over the last 20-30 years drug rehabs that implement more of a holistic based program and offer individualized care are producing a better success rate. Non-12 step drug treatment is now becoming very popular because it offers a solution to drug and alcohol addiction.
One of the most important aspects to the non-12 step approach is they don’t believe that addiction is an incurable disease. Victimizing a person and making them feel like there is nothing that they can do about their drug problem is one of the worst things you can do to an addicted individual. Teaching a person how to handle life and problems is a common sense approach and helps a person regain critical skills so they don’t need drugs.
Remember when searching on the Internet for drug treatment, make sure that it is a non 12 step rehab. Most of the non-12 step programs have a 70 percent success rate and also offer long-term care. A long-term drug rehab gives the addict or alcoholic the best chance of recovering by keeping them away from friends and family that may have aided in the addiction process. Not all non 12-step treatment programs are in every state, so you may have to travel to find one.
